History:
Our Annual "Rock the Block" Event held in the month of November has drawn city and statewide attention. The first event was held on November 13, 2010... With the support of over 100 Sponsors, 50 Local Bay-Area Organizations, 4 Faith-Based Ministries & approx. 100 Volunteers, we were able to serve 1,087 registered families. The likelihood that over 1,500 families attended this event is quite possible. With limited resources and financial support, we were able to turn an "ordinary day" into an "Extraordinary Experience" for all to remember. The purpose is to serve those in need FREE of COST. With everyone's support, this vision is not only admirable, but attainable.
We were able to give away bicycle helmets, over 50 Gift Cards & Gift Certificates, Amusement Park Tickets, Sports Memorabilia, Hotel Stays, Health & Beauty Care Treatments, Haircuts for young and old, 250 Grocery Bags, 1,500 Pieces of Clothing & Accessories and so much more... This undoubtedly shall become the largest event we host each year, as it expresses the core mission of our ministry and outreach efforts; which is to serve others by restoring and empowering everyone.
